Ten National Teams From Around the World Compete in 2011 BMO Nations\u2019 Cup at Spruce Meadows in Calgary – The title of the feed item<\/p>\n

BMO has sponsored the Nation\u2019s Cup for the last 34 years<\/em><\/p>\n

SPRUCE MEADOWS (CALGARY) AB, September 6, 2011<\/strong> <\/strong>\u2013 National teams from 10 countries around the world will arrive in Calgary this week to compete in the BMO Nations\u2019 Cup, one of the richest team show-jumping events in the world. The event, which carries a prize of $350,000 will take place on Saturday, September 10, at Canada\u2019s premier show-jumping event, the Spruce Meadows \u201cMasters\u201d Tournament.<\/p>\n

The 2011 Canadian Team, lead by Chef d\u2019\u00e9quipe Terrance Millar, will include the number one show jumping rider in the world, Eric Lamaze, along with veterans Ian Millar, Jonathan Asselin and Tiffany Foster.<\/p>\n

This year Spruce Meadows will be welcoming the reigning Asian Games Champions, Saudi Arabia, including a member of the Saudi Royal Family. Saudi Arabia is competing for the first time in the BMO Nations\u2019 Cup.<\/p>\n

The roster of 2011 BMO Nations\u2019 Cup teams invited to compete includes:<\/strong><\/p>\n

  2. Belgium \u2013 Seeking its first BMO Nations\u2019 Cup win.<\/li>\n
  3. France \u2013 1993 BMO Nations\u2019 Cup Winner.<\/li>\n
  4. Great Britain \u2013 Ten BMO Nations\u2019 Cup wins – more than any other country.<\/li>\n
  5. Ireland \u2013 Three-time winner of the BMO Nations\u2019 Cup.<\/li>\n
  6. Mexico – Seeking its first BMO Nations\u2019 Cup win.<\/li>\n
  7. Saudi Arabia \u2013 Making its BMO Nations\u2019 Cup debut.<\/li>\n
  8. Switzerland \u2013 Seeking its first BMO Nations\u2019 Cup win.<\/li>\n
  9. The Netherlands \u2013 2009 BMO Nations\u2019 Cup Winner.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    10. United States \u2013 2010 BMO Nations\u2019 Cup Winner, 2004 and 2008 Olympic Team Gold..<\/p>\n

    Last year, 69,000 people attended the BMO Nations\u2019 Cup and organizers hope to surpass this number in 2011. Fans with a BMO card can participate in the BMO Power of Blue program, which offers great client experiences during the Spruce Meadows Masters Tournament, including a chance to ride on the BMO float in the Parade of Nations.<\/p>\n
