It has been a great experience to listen, learn and have amazing learning experiences with various trainers with Klemmer & Associates. The ability to share and inspire the audience is great opportunity to teach great concepts, the ability to engage and have them learn, do and apply is where the true magic happens.<\/p>\n
It numerous events \u00a0that I have attended in the past year I have seen presenters from Ronnie Doss, Bill Bixby sharing authentic stories about their journey of success.<\/p>\n
There has been many great experience that they have shared from the own journeys that has made an impact with us.<\/p>\n
Below is story Ronnie Doss share at one of the events
\nRonnie explains \u00a0he gets a phone call for his best friend John and he says \u201cLet\u2019s go skydiving today\u201d.<\/p>\n
Ronnie quickly says \u201c now way man I don\u2019t do well with heights\u201d<\/p>\n
John says \u201c C\u2019mon Ronnie it\u2019s my birthday\u201d He quickly agrees and head to the local airport to do the jump.<\/p>\n
He gets there and all his buddies are there waiting for him. He goes through an instructional course on how to pack his parachute and other safety procedures.<\/p>\n
Ronnie puts on his green jump suit and notices that there is the metal circular clip on his back. He asks John \u201cwhat\u2019s this for?\u201d\u00a0 he replies and says \u201cdon\u2019t worry about that for now, just get on the plane!\u201d<\/p>\n
They all enter the plane and Ronnie is still not feeling good about this adventure, he is being oblivious to the situation and he is cracking jokes with his friends and making small talk not at interested in the what will be happening soon.<\/p>\n
Few minutes later the pilot yells \u201c We are ready to go!\u201d<\/p>\n
Everyone begins to stand and get ready except Ronnie who is still sitting and gripping the chair very heavily with his hands. John walks over and says \u201cAre you ready to jump?\u201d and Ronnie like a little child shakes his head in the \u201cno\u201d motion.<\/p>\n
John ask\u2019s \u00a0Ronnie to get up politely get up, by the way John is 6\u20192 and Ronnie is 5\u201911. He turns Ronnie around and clips into the back of his green jump suit. \u00a0John replies and says \u201cI am ready and we are doing this tandem\u201d\u00a0 Ronnie goes on to say that \u201c John puts his feet under his and begins to walk to the door. All I could do is keep my feet stiff , but that didn\u2019t help\u201d.<\/p>\n
We get to the door and I held on to both sides of the plane door with my hands and remember saying \u00a0in loud voice \u201c I still don\u2019t want to do this\u201d John removes his hands and they jump \u201cjeronimoh!!!\u201d<\/p>\n
The wind is hitting Ronnie in the face and they are sailing in the wind, time is moving fast as the parachute deploys and they reach the ground safely.<\/p>\n
Ronnie Doss turns to John and says \u201cthat was awesome, we are doing it again!\u201d<\/p>\n
He proceeded to pay for everyone and did a second jump again.<\/p>\n
Ronnie Doss was being an authentic leader in sharing the story straight out of his journey. The participants\u00a0 were engaged, interested and gained a valuable experience from his point of view. We all put our hands together and \u00a0clapped\u00a0 with excitement on his accomplished.<\/p>\n
You have the same opportunity to be an authentic leader in your life.<\/p>\n
As the Nike quote says \u201cJust Do It\u201d<\/p>\n
Moral of the story is that we all face fear in our journey of success is about overcoming them and burst through them. There is a great analogy called F.E.AR. witch stands for False Evidence Appearing Real.
