As you can see, though one of the world&#8217;s younger universities the business school has achieved international status and continues to re-inforce its reputation:<\/p>\n<p><em>Just one week after Schulich\u2019s outstanding result in\u00a0The\u00a0Economist\u00a0ranking, where we placed 9th in the world, I have more terrific news to share with you: the\u00a0Financial Times\u00a0of London, in their annual survey of the world\u2019s best EMBA programs, today ranked our Kellogg-Schulich EMBA program #1 in Canada for the fifth straight year and #11 globally \u2013 a dramatic rise from 23rd place last year into the top echelon of the world&#8217;s best EMBA programs! \u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>In placing 11th overall, the Kellogg-Schulich EMBA program finished ahead of IMD, the Stern School of Business at New York University and the Berkeley\/Columbia EMBA, and just behind London Business School and Wharton. Among EMBA programs based in North America or involving North American schools, the Kellogg-Schulich EMBA ranked 6<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0overall and was the only Canadian program to make the world\u2019s top 25. And among Canadian-based programs, the Kellogg-Schulich EMBA placed ahead of the EMBA programs delivered by the Rotman School of Management, which ranked 28th; the Ivey School of Business,\u00a0 ranked 36th; the Cornell-Queen\u2019s EMBA, ranked 44<sup>th<\/sup>; the Alberta-Haskayne EMBA (a joint program delivered by the University of Alberta School of Business and the University of Calgary\u2019s Haskayne School of Business), ranked 73rd; and the Queen&#8217;s EMBA, which ranked 84th overall. For complete details regarding the\u00a0Financial Times\u00a0ranking, please visit:\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ft.com\/intl\/business-education\/emba\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/www.ft.com\/intl\/business-education\/emba<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Ranking Highlights<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>In addition to our excellent ranking overall, the Kellogg-Schulich EMBA was rated among the top 15 in the world in the following categories:\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em><strong>3rd in the world<\/strong>\u00a0in the \u201cInternational Students\u201d category, which measures international diversity and experience in the classroom;\u00a0<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em><strong>8th in the world<\/strong>\u00a0in the \u201cWork Experience\u201d category, which measures the seniority and international experience of the EMBA program\u2019s students;<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em><strong>12th in the world<\/strong>\u00a0in the \u201cInternational Course Experience\u201d category, which measures the percentage of classroom teaching hours that are carried out in countries outside of the country where the program is located;<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em><strong>14th in the world<\/strong>\u00a0in the &#8220;Career Progress&#8221; category, which measures rises in the seniority of job positions held; and<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em><strong>15th in the world<\/strong>\u00a0in the \u201cResearch\u201d category, which measures the number of articles published by the entire faculty in leading academic and business practitioner journals.\u00a0\u00a0<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>Established ten years ago, the Kellogg-Schulich EMBA program graduated its ninth class on October 14th. When we partnered with Kellogg, our goal was to create a world-class EMBA program for Canada\u2019s most promising business leaders and entrepreneurs. Today\u2019s\u00a0Financial Times\u00a0of London ranking result provides some external validation that our EMBA program has quickly and quietly grown into one of the world&#8217;s very best.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Congratulations to the entire Kellogg-Schulich EMBA staff, including\u00a0<strong>Andr\u00e9 deCarufel<\/strong>, Academic Director,<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Su-Lan<\/strong><strong>\u00a0Tenn<\/strong>, Program<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>Director, as well as the Program\u2019s faculty, alumni and students.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>This marks the third global survey within the past month to place Schulich MBA and EMBA programs among the top eleven in the world, and in two of those rankings, we were rated among the top ten \u2013 a significant accomplishment! More importantly, however, these recent results are a recognition of our ongoing efforts to become better in all areas of the School.
