The spotlight shines on some of our selected members.

Spotlight: Ken Campbell

I first met Ken back in 2005 through a mutual colleague. We bonded quickly as we shared many stories and similar successes in both the corporate world and the entrepreneurial world. The introduction was part of an acquisition of a 50 year old food processing company. Within days our mandate expanded to include a second company and we were able to structure a deal that attracted international interest. Our relationship has continued and as recently as three months ago, I referred a deal to Ken in the financial district. Based on what I know of Ken, this member spotlight is well deserved.
Ken spent the first part of his career with major Canadian corporations in marketing including BMO, Nortel and MacDonald Tobacco. He then built companies in publishing, marketing and advertising. Several opportunities were then presented to use his skills to assist companies grow exponentially by developing business and marketing plans and mentoring the management team in successfully executing those plans.

This led to work in the Mergers and Acquisition area where he has helped companies travel through the minefield of buying or selling their business. As part of that process Ken studied to follow the rules of the Real Estate and Business Brokers Act and is a licensed Real Estate Sales Representative with Real Estate Homeward in the Beach.

He now practices Residential and Commercial Real Estate including M&A, business sales and Lease/Rent to Own for Investors (15-25% ROI p.a.) and for Renters with bruised credit (but consistent income).

You can reach Ken by telephone at 416 553-6376 or by email: kenc@kaceeyteam.ca, website: www.kaceeyteam.ca

Peter von Loesecke
Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, The MBA Tour
Member since 2010

I first came across Peter von Loesecke and The MBA Tour when one of our members contacted me for advice about the value of an MBA in his career. After he attended The MBA Tour he commented on how useful it was for him because he was able to ask all the questions he wanted to the individuals representing the schools. I realized then, the importance of The MBA Tour to those looking for an MBA and made it a point to connect with Peter.I was impressed with what I discovered. As a specialist in designing and implementing operational improvements, Peter von Loesecke has extensive experience hiring graduate students for management consulting positions from a wide breadth of business schools. Given his industry and consulting experience, which spans 20 years, it is no surprise that Peter has a strong interest in working with graduate business programs to identify and recruit talent.

While working as a management consultant with Arthur D. Little and Applied Value, Peter sold and led engagements with global clients in the medical, consumer, and transportation industries. He has shared his knowledge through his published articles about commodity sourcing strategies, supply chain improvement initiatives, and the link between operational performance and stock valuation.

Peter earned his MBA from the Johnson School at Cornell University. Then as a management consultant, he worked with clients across North America, Europe and Latin America.

Today, Peter von Loescke is the CEO and Managing Director of The MBA Tour which connects MBA candidates with various Business Management Schools so that candidates can gather career, educational and school information to make informed decisions that will significantly dictate their future.

The MBA Tour (Toronto MBA Conference) will take place in Toronto on November 13, 2010 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre (255 Front Street West). The MBA Tour allows you to explore MBA programs and helps you discover your ideal school. Present will be representatives from University of Toronto, Queens, Ivey, York, UBC, McMaster, ESADE, Cranfield, University of Texas at Austin, Georgetown & others.
